NEW BOARD APPOINTMENTS FOR PORTS NORTH BOARD
Ports North has welcomed the Queensland Government’s appointment of Dr Ken Chapman as Chairman of the port corporation’s Board.Dr Chapman, said “Ports North is a major contributor to the North
Queensland economy and I am very much looking forward to leading the organisation in its future development”.
Dr Chapman also welcomed the appointment of prominent local lawyer, Mr Michael Huelin as a new Director of the Board.
Mr Huelin has been a Partner of Williams Graham Carman Solicitors in Cairns for the last 22 years.
Dr Chapman, said “Mr Huelin is highly regarded in the areas of commercial and property law and his appointment will be a great asset to the Board”.
As a Director of Advance Cairns and a member of its Operations and Patrons Committees, Mr Huelin is well known and has good working relationships with the business community and key stakeholders in the region.
Mr Huelin said “he was honoured to be a Director of such an important regional corporation and was looking forward to contributing to the development of Port assets to benefit the region”.
